Hey guys, isn’t that wonderful news. To tell you the truth I was not surprised by the news at all. No, its not that I don’t like the show anymore, in fact I love the show more than ever. It is just that the creators of Nip/Tuck know very well how popular the show is and they had no other option but to come back with a brand new season. So let me tell you something more about the new season. The season will premiere on 6^th January 2009 and will have a total of 13 episodes. The guest stars who will be appearing on the show this season include Sharon Gless, Portia de Rossi, Anna Lynne McCord, Bradley Cooper, John Schneider, Jennifer Coolidge, Morgan Fairchild and Katee Sackoff. The show will now trace the lives of the two main characters as they settle into a new life in Los Angeles.

The controversial show revolves around the lives of Dr. Sean McNamara and Dr. Christian Troy, a pair of plastic surgeons who moved to Los Angeles in season five. It tells their story as one of them is trying to keep his marriage together and the other is trying to add some sex appeal to his life. It is a comedy drama which is downright addictive and keeps the audience glued to their television sets.

Every episode is full of sex, drama drugs and blood plus the suspense always keeps you guessing as to what is going to happen next. When the show premiered nobody thought that it would be such a huge success and would win the hearts of millions of fans. So guys get prepared for the rollercoaster ride of the sixth season of your favorite show.

In the contemporary fashion world everybody is keen to change one’s looks. Since the time, Plastic surgery has become popular; people are crazy to change even not so ugly portions of their bodies. This has now become a fashion and more than this a status symbol.

On “Nip\Tuck”, Sean and Christian Troy hold the same duty of amending the worst creations of God. Though most of the times, Beautiful creations of God spoiled by the human beings. Once, Sean himself got a deep cut on his face by a serial rapist. Don’t get shocked, Sean hasn’t got raped. Actually this serial rapist leaves deep cuts on both sides of faces of his victims, resembling a smile. He attacks upon models only. Now Sean has got the duty of turning those ruined faces into dazzling beauties once again. This makes the rapist unhappy and he revengefully, attacks upon Sean in his home. Sean got a bad cut on his right cheek. Now this is Christian’s turn to bring back the actual cool looks of his fellow doc and friend, back.

Hey have you ever seen closely the two docs. They look so dashing. In fact when they are undergoing surgeries, they look more sensuous in their tensed looks. Dylan Walsh playing Sean is undoubtedly the hot stuff of small screen. I’ll call him old wine in new bottle, and you know it that old wine is always capable to knock you down, lol. He’s 44 years old but still owns a style like a macho man in his twenties. I suppose, he will also fit perfectly in the detective’s role than a doctor. Though, I liked the docs being musclemen on “Nip\Tuck”.

If I’ll ever plan to take a plastic surgery then would definitely like being treated by this doc only. I believe his character on “Nip\Tuck” holds the credit of his esthetic looks. He has a troubled personal life, his best friend is biological father of his child, still he is just so soft with not so pretty people. Hats off to Sean.

Sean is very lucky, despite his disturbed life. What doesn’t come in his way? His loving child is the biological son of his best friend Christian, as his wife Julia had a one night stand with Christian before her wedding with Sean. Sean and she got separated and then Sean had a night stand with her and consequently one more kid and again a controversy. After all this, Sean still has space for a new love in his life. The “Charmed” fame actress Rose McGowan will be joining Nip\Tuck in the next season. She will play the role of Theodora “Teddy” Lowe, another doc, who will eventually become the love interest of Dr. Sean (Dylan Walsh).

Rose is actually replacement of Katee Sackhoff, the “Battlestar Galactica” fame, for the same role. Unfortunately Sackhoff has to leave the show for the conflicting schedule with NBC’s “Lost and Found’. Still she will appear at least for four episodes in “Nip\Tuck”.

On the other hand, Rose McGowan is known for her role of wise witch on “Charmed”. Dr. Christian(Julian McMohan) was also co-star with her in that series. Now the two are again going to workl as co-stars, this time in a medical drama. After “Charmed”, she has worked in movies like “The Black Dahlia”,”Grindhouse”, “Death Proof”, “Planet Terror” and “Fifty Dead Man Walking”. She has a few other movie projects in hand as well, but thank God not with conflicting dates schedule like Sackhoff. Let’s see how she makes the things spiced up in the next season. Till than catch full fifth season here and freshen up the old sweet memories.

Nip/Tuck is nearing to its end!!

John Landgraf, FX President has confirmed the above statement at the Television Association Summer Press Tour, Beverly Hilton. He said, “Nip/Tuck will come to a close in early 2011”.

19 additional episodes have been planned and including these special 19 episodes, series will end at a total of 100 episodes. When John was asked ‘why they decided to bring it to an end’, he replied “he doubts any FX drama would ever run beyond 100 episodes, saying that serialized dramas have a much different storytelling model than nonserialized shows such as “Law & Order” or “CSI.” I think, they must have thought that Nip/Tuck will lose its creativity and success, if it continues after the 100 episodes. Ultimately, they put it to an end.

Currently, the series is running with season 5 and 14 episodes of this season have already been aired. Remaining episodes are set to be aired in Jan, 2009. It’s also confirmed that the Show runner Ryan Murphy will remain through the end of the season. Nip/Tuck follows the lives of two Plastic surgeons Sean McNamara and Christian Troy.

Nip/Tuck has won a Golden Globe for best drama series in 2005 and has also got several Emmy nominations. Whatever they are doing with Nip/Tuck is quite similar to what they have decided for The Shield, which is entering its final season on the network.

As we all know that the series have completed its five seasons and has been well received not only by its viewers but also by the critics. And with the confirmed news that the series sixth season will be aired, the series definitely has something in it, that keeps its viewers wanting for more. The creator of the show has also been double minded about the next series but at every time he ends up deciding that he will go for one more season.

The parent’s television council, have more than once criticized the show for taking up issues that should not been shown on screen. They were also of the view that the show should be called off screen because of its indecency and the inappropriate scenes in the show. Well to begin with I would call it an “almost perfect series”, which leaves me with almost nothing else to define about it. It’s about these two successful surgeons who are at the top of their careers, but their personal lives are not sailing smooth. Two persons, two different lives, two different issues of life and their ways of dealing with life.

Yes, this Emmy and Golden award winner series has all that a perfect series should have. It has all the elements of drama, suspense, thrill, issues and in general how life could mean differently to two different individuals in the almost same atmosphere. What are priorities that a person chooses for himself???? All mixed with amazing science and real life based surgeries that take place on the show.

The series has successfully completed its five seasons and is on the verge of making the sixth one. All the five series have been well received by its viewers and also by the critics. The reason behind its success is none other than that it’s strange and original and that it has been successful in delivering nothing but the best to its viewers.
